Les will update everyone on what is happening, and what is on the horizon, in the legal world which will affect Landlords and Agents. There will also be the opportunity for attendees for ask Les any housing related questions on any issues they may have.

Presentation on what the Universal Credit journal looks like from the Claimants perspective, what information the claimant has access to as well as a general reminder around what claimants need to secure universal credit housing costs and the UC47 (Managed payment to Landlord) process

1.00 – 2.30 Andy Reay – Counter Terrorism Security Advisor – West Yorkshire Police
Andy is going to give a presentation on Counter Terrorism Policing in the North East. This presentation is excellent and extremely thought provoking. When I saw this presentation at a previous event, everyone said that it was one of the best that they had ever attended so I am extremely pleased that he has agreed to present it again at our conference.

3.00 – 3.30 Inspector Michael Robson from Northumbrian Police
Inspector Robson will talk about local issues including Operation Vienna and some of the successes achieved and the risks particularly around modern day slavery
3.30 – 4.00 Nick Murtagh – Ad Hoc Property Protection
Nick will give a short presentation on their role of Property Guardians and vacant property protection.
